Hope for Housing is a non-profit program developed by the Interfaith Coalition to Prevent Family Homelessness with assistance from the Central Massachusetts Housing Alliance. The goal of the project is to utilize the collective buying power of congregations to prevent family homelessness and to advocate for the homeless prevention policies.

Hope for Housing will purchase food cards in bulk from local supermarkets which will be sold to members of participating congregations at their place of worship.

The supermarkets, in turn, will donate 5% of all sales to Hope for Housing to assist families at risk of homelessness.

Here's How it Works

  • You purchase food gift cards in various amounts of $10 - $100
  • You use the food cards for your grocery shopping
  • You receive the full face value of the card you purchase
  • What you don’t spend remains on your card for later use
  • The supermarket donates 5% of what you spend to prevent family homelessness
