The Massachusetts Veterans program at 69 Grove St. provides temporary housing and programs to homeless veterans. Mass. Vets has an emergency shelter, and allows individuals access to services. massvets-2 Services provided are housing counseling, assistance with housing applications, employment services, computer classes, transportation, food pantry, and case management. The program is run by veterans in assistance to homeless veterans, which creates an understanding and supportive environment for clients in need of services. Located in the newly renovated armory building, the center has become a positive place for individuals to socialize and receive services.

The emergency shelter has 75 beds, and there are also referrals made to transitional housing provided. All individuals in housing must be clean and sober, and the emergency shelter can be utilized for 30 days before finding another housing option.
